How does the KCM Set work?

The KCM Set uses a dedicated extruder for each color during multi-color printing. These extruders work in perfect sync with the direct-drive extruder inside the ChromaHead. During printing, the active filament is cut and retracted up to the 8-in-1 module, then the next filament is loaded. A purge is performed, and the multi-color printing process continues seamlessly.

KCM is an innovative module that provides multi-color printing and multi-extruder control for Klipper-based 3D printers. This module also includes a compatible connection port for the advanced toolhead called ChromaHead. The KCM Set includes 1 KCM box, which contains an adapter, a Type-C to micro USB cable, and the KCM device. Additionally, the set features a ChromaHead, which includes a head connection cable, a toolkit, and an 8-in-1 module. There are also 4 extruder kits in the set, each containing a Nema 17 stepper motor, a motor cable, and a 1.5-meter PTFE tube.
