What is the ChromaHead?

ChromaHead is a third-party attachment that can be mounted onto 3D printers, transforming them into devices capable of producing vibrant, multi-color prints with impressive speed. Offering broad compatibility, ChromaHead works seamlessly with various printer types, including sigma profiles, linear rails, and rods. Its modular design features a range of components such as the filament cutting module, extruder module, and ChromaHotend. This ensures a flexible and advanced printing experience for your 3D printer.

Light, Effective, Modular

The extruder module within ChromaHead is designed to drive the filament with high torque and grip for smooth operation. The integrated dual drive gear kit is optimized for high-speed printing processes. It draws power from a pancake motor with high precision and a high step count. Additionally, it features a built-in slot for 8in1 connectivity.

Filament Cutter Module 

Unique Filament Cutting System

The filament cutting module within ChromaHead differs from other color printing systems by using a special gearbox to cut the filament with high torque. The precisely optimized cutting angle ensures a clean filament tip, preventing clogging and jams. The movements of the filament cutting mechanism are monitored by an internal encoder, resulting in an intelligent and precise filament cutting system.

Meet ChromaHotend 

The ChromaHotend is a hotend specifically designed for multi-color printing. To prevent jamming and clogging during filament changes, the filament path inside the hotend is manufactured as a single piece. The heatsink section is designed with a wavy structure to increase heat dissipation efficiency, expanding the surface area. This design prevents heat from rising from the heater block, allowing the hotend to heat up and cool down rapidly. As a result, the ChromaHotend offers exceptional performance, enabling smooth printing with various filament types.

Seamless connection

Special Connection Socket Ensures Uninterrupted Printing

ChromaHead's connection cable socket is specially designed to ensure a seamless connection with its clip-on structure. Additionally, it is secured to the ChromaHead's aluminum frame with two screws, providing a stable connection. This way, no matter how high the printing speed is, the connection remains intact during the process.
