Meshy is now the official AI 3D modeling partner of Co Print Quadro
It started with a pencil drawing of a plane.
A young friend of ours drew a little yellow plane at his house. We took a photo of the drawing, uploaded it to Meshy, and a few minutes later it was a 3D model. A few hours after that, the plane came off Quadro in four colors, and he was flying it around the room.
No CAD. No sculpting software. No hunting for files online. Just a drawing, an AI model and a printer.
That's the experience we want every Quadro owner to have, and it's exactly why we teamed up with Meshy. Starting today, Meshy is the official AI 3D modeling partner of Co Print Quadro.
A gift unlocked by 5,000 reservations
When we passed 5,000 Quadro reservations, we promised our community something special. Here it is: Quadro backers get Meshy Pro for $1/month on Kickstarter, with 2 months for everyone who backs in the first 24 hours (details below). And it's only the first surprise. More gifts for reservation holders are on the way.
How Meshy works
Meshy is an AI platform that creates 3D models from text or images.
- Start with anything. A written prompt ("a red dragon sitting on a rock"), a photo of an object, or a drawing on paper.
- AI builds the shape. Meshy generates the full 3D geometry. It uses separate approaches for hard-surface objects like parts and props, and organic forms like characters and animals, so the result holds up as a physical object, not just on screen.
- AI paints the surface. Meshy creates the texture and color, then translates it into color regions a 3D printer can use, instead of you painting each area by hand in the slicer.
- Make it printable. Meshy's Make Printable feature checks and repairs the model for printing, including wall thickness judged against your final print size. Auto Split then separates the model into printable parts, which is perfect for multi-color printing: each part can go to its own color on Quadro.
Meshy is used by more than 15 million people and has generated over 100 million 3D models.
How Quadro prints it
AI-generated models are usually colorful. That's exactly where most printers struggle, and where Quadro was designed to shine.
- Four colors, always loaded. Quadro has four independent toolheads, each with its own filament. The heads never share a nozzle and never swap, so there is nothing to purge between colors.
- Fast color changes. The next toolhead is already heated and moving in while the last one parks. Each handover takes about three seconds.
- Clean results. Idle heads rest in the QDock Station™ with their nozzles sealed, so nothing oozes onto your model and colors stay crisp.
- Four materials, too. Each head runs its own temperature, so you can mix PLA with TPU for flexible parts or use soluble PVA supports for complex shapes.
- Room to go big. 300 × 300 × 300 mm, reachable by every toolhead.
The workflow: generate in Meshy → Make Printable and Auto Split → export → assign each part to a toolhead in Co Slicer → print on Quadro.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About Quadro × Meshy
Q: What is the Quadro × Meshy partnership? A: Meshy is the official AI 3D modeling partner of Co Print Quadro. Meshy turns a photo, drawing or text prompt into a 3D model, and Quadro, Co Print's independent four-toolhead color 3D printer, prints it in up to four colors and materials.
Q: Can I turn a drawing or photo into a 3D print? A: Yes. Upload a photo of a drawing, an object or any reference image to Meshy, and it generates a textured 3D model in minutes. You can then print it in up to four colors on Quadro.
Q: Do I need design experience to use Meshy with Quadro? A: No. Meshy generates a complete 3D model from a photo, drawing or text prompt. Make Printable checks and repairs it for printing, and Auto Split separates it into printable parts so each part can print in its own color. The model can then be prepared in Co Slicer and printed on Quadro.
Q: Why does Quadro suit AI-generated color models? A: AI models often carry several colors. Quadro keeps four colors loaded at all times on four independent toolheads, so color changes don't purge filament or swap heads.
Q: What do Quadro Kickstarter backers get from Meshy? A: Backers who pledge in the first 24 hours get 2 months of Meshy Pro for $1/month. All other printer backers get 1 month of Meshy Pro for $1/month. Multi-unit and print farm reward tiers get 40% off the first year of Meshy Studio annual.
Q: When can backers use the Meshy offer? A: As soon as they back Quadro on Kickstarter. There is no need to wait for printer delivery.
Q: What happens after the Meshy offer period ends? A: The offer requires a Meshy account and a valid payment method, and renews at Meshy's standard price unless cancelled. It can be redeemed until April 1, 2027.
Q: Will Meshy work directly inside Co Slicer? A: Today, models are exported from Meshy and opened in Co Slicer. Co Print and Meshy are exploring a direct connection so models and their colors can move into Quadro's print workflow without manual export.
About Quadro
Q: What is Co Print Quadro? A: Co Print Quadro is a multi-color 3D printer with four independent toolheads on a single axis. Each toolhead has its own filament, stepper motor and temperature settings, so Quadro can print in up to four colors and materials without swapping heads or purging filament.
Q: How is Quadro different from AMS-style multi-color printers? A: AMS-style systems feed several filaments into a single nozzle and purge material at every color change, wasting filament and time. Quadro gives every color its own toolhead, so there is no purge tower and up to 90% less filament waste.
Q: How is Quadro different from tool-changing printers? A: Tool changers physically detach and re-dock toolheads at each color change. Quadro's toolheads never detach. The next toolhead is preheated and moves in while the last one parks, so a color change takes about three seconds.
Q: What is the QDock Station™? A: The QDock Station is where Quadro's idle toolheads park, outside the build area, with their nozzles sealed. This prevents oozing onto the print and stops one color from bleeding into the next.
Q: What materials can Quadro print? A: Quadro supports PLA, PETG, ABS, PLA-CF and TPU, and can use soluble PVA as a support material. Because each toolhead has its own temperature, materials can be combined in one print, such as PLA with TPU or PETG with PVA supports.
Q: What is Quadro's build volume and speed? A: Quadro has a 300 × 300 × 300 mm build volume, reachable by all four toolheads. It moves at up to 600 mm/s with acceleration up to 10,000 mm/s².
Q: Does Quadro calibrate itself? A: Yes. Bed leveling, toolhead offsets, flow, pressure advance and input shaping are calibrated automatically.
Q: What software does Quadro use? A: Quadro uses Co Slicer, Co Print's slicer based on the open-source OrcaSlicer, and runs QuadrOS on the printer. It can be controlled remotely with the Co Print App on PC and mobile.
Q: Who is Quadro for? A: Makers, hobbyists, families, educators and small businesses: anyone who wants to print colorful, functional or multi-material parts without complex setup.
