What is The Klipper Chroma Module?
KCM is an innovative module that provides multi-color printing and multi-extrudercontrol for Klipper-based3D printers. This module also includes a compatible connection port for the advancedtoolhead called ChromaHead. With KCM, your printer gains the ability to produce multi-color prints while enabling you to use ChromaHead for more complex and detailed prints.

ChromaHead is a third-party attachment that can be mounted onto 3D printers, transforming them into devices capable of producing vibrant, multi-color prints with impressive speed. The KCM Set includes 1 KCM box, which contains an adapter, a Type-C to micro USB cable, and the KCM device. Additionally, the set features a ChromaHead, which includes a head connection cable, a toolkit, and an 8-in-1 module. There are also 4 extruder kits in the set, each containing a Nema 17 stepper motor, a motor cable, and a 1.5-meter PTFE tube.

Which printers is the KCM Set compatible with?
The KCM Set is compatible with all printers that support Klipper. It can be used with many models such as the Ender 3 V3, CR-10 SE, and Sovol 07/08. You can find the full list of compatible models on our compatibility page.
How many colors does the KCM Set support?
The KCM Set comes with either 4-color or 8-color filament inputs. Depending on the package you choose, you can print seamlessly with 4 or 8 filaments. If you need more colors, you can purchase the ECM module to add an extra 4 extruder controls to your system — allowing you to upgrade from 4 to 8 or even 12 colors.
Which Klipper interface software should I use with the KCM Set?
The KCM Set is fully compatible with Klipper interfaces like Mainsail and Fluidd. You can choose your preferred web interface and start using the system after importing the required Co Print configuration files.

Is technical knowledge required for installation?
To install the KCM Set, you should have an intermediate level of knowledge about 3D printers. However, with our detailed installation videos and step-by-step guides, you can easily complete the setup. No soldering or direct modification to the printer’s mainboard is required.
How many colors can I add to the KCM Set at most?
The KCM Set is available in two versions: one supporting 4 colors and another supporting 8 colors. If needed, you can expand the system by adding ECM Packs, each providing control for 4 additional extruders. With these expansions, the system can support up to 20 colors in total.
